At the moment I am busily making new work for 2 shows in February. The
Relaunch show at
Jugglers in the Valley and the
Brisbane Emerging Artists festival Check-in exhibition. I am very excited to be in both exhibitions.
Stretched my first canvas at the studio yesterday on the floor. I think I will need another bench to do this job as it was quite difficult doing it on the carpet this way :-) i managed to get it done but it probably would have been easier if it was a wooden or concrete floor. I used to do it at my old studio on the concrete floor no problems. The staple gun I got worked well so I was happy about that.
Doing some planning with
Emma Lindsay today for our exhibition in August. That will be a good one! I will be talking about this one on my blog.
I also got a copy of MYOB so I can start entering all my receipts into the program. This will help with BAS and end of year tax return. I have got my head around most of it but am getting my friend Jen Upton to help me set it up properly :-) She has started her own business doing book keeping so if you need someone she is good.
So much to do! Got to organise business cards soon too...
