Just re-read this old interview. Things haven't changed much and I am still happy with the answers I gave :-) http://stevegray.com.au/blog/sue-beyer/

Back to life

Went to the studio for the first time in two weeks today. I really needed a break. I was so happy with what I got done this morning I can't wait to get back there this afternoon.
I have found a new lease on work by starting some new non-painting related experiments. You can see what I am up to here: http://www.suebeyer.com.au/blog/
I'm not sure what will come of these experiments, maybe nothing, but so far it has been worth it :-)

In context

My work on a wall! I think it looks fantastic :-) Actually selling your work was almost looked down upon at uni. Heaven forbid you actually aim to make a living out of your art! That is my goal and I know it's going to be hard because I don't want to compromise to suit someone's interior design. I don't think I will need to somehow. And if that's seen as being conceited then C'est la vie. You can't please everyone.
