molotow

I've just discovered Molotow paint markers. They are fantastic. A bit more expensive than poscas but totally worth it! You can't buy them directly from germany if you live in Australia... unfortunately... but I have found a place on the gold coast who sells them.

Space and Place

"Abstract knowledge about a place can be acquired in short order if one is diligent. The visual quality of an environment is quickly tallied if one has the artist's eye. Dwell

I have just had a meeting to confirm my solo exhibition at Redland Art Gallery in June next year. I visited the space and took some photos. It is really great that a regional gallery can afford to put on shows. The gallery is paying for everything. This really helps when you aren't making much money from selling work :-)

The exhibition will run from June 20 - July 18, 2012

The photos I took show the space and the work of Carly Kotynski that is on until the 18th of January 2012.

Independant

I have a few exciting things starting to happen. Hopefully I will find out more details before Christmas. It will make it the best Christmas present ever :-) As soon as I can I will post the details on my blog.

Doing lots of work lately. I have been quite productive but I want to keep the paintings for my exhibition in Melbourne as a surprise so I won't be posting any images until it's on.

Having a meeting with Redland Gallery in the next few days to discuss a solo late next year also. That will be good.
